Stephen’s presentation focuses on the early stages of a project to significantly increase the granularity of the BFI’s geodata using crowdsourcing. During the presentation, Stephen gives insight into different approaches that can be taken to crowdsourcing, advantages and disadvantages of each and ultimately how the BFI chose to approach their project.

It offers useful and practical advice on things to consider before embarking on a crowdsourcing project and describes some useful resources which helped the BFI develop their crowdsourcing idea.
